Qualified Rigger
Description
The 8-HR Qualified Rigger Training is designed to fulfill the training requirements for qualified rigger person under the new OSHA requirement 1926.1400, as well as to provide the class attendees an overview of hazards related to rigging and in the establishment of safe and proper rigging practices. Any person designated as the qualified rigger by an employer who performs specific rigging operations and load activities should register to this course to comply with the new requirement. Regulations discussed in this course are ASME B30.5, ASME B30.9, and OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926.1400.
Topics Included:
This course includes topics such as basic rigging principles, rigging component identification, mathematical calculations, sling selection, rigging inspection, wire rope and chain design, and proper rigging techniques.
Course Fees:
- $200.00 per person
- $180 per person for groups of 10+ (10% discount)
Course Completion Material:
Upon successfully attending the full 8 hours of training, eligible participants will receive a certificate of completion under OSHA 1926.1400 standard from TSCTA. This certificate is valid for three years.
