Initial Certified Renovator (RRP) Training

Description

The Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting Program (RRP) is a deferral regulatory program affecting contractors, property managers and others who disturb lead based painted surfaces. It applies to residential houses, apartments, and child occupied facilities built before 1978. Anyone performing work in these types of projects must complete an Initial RRP Training. This 8 hour EPA approved course explains how to comply with the new RRP Rule. This course will teach students lead-safe work practices & how to successfully implement them. The RRP Initial Certification is valid for 5 years ONLY. Training is offered in English and Spanish.

Topics Included:

This course includes topics such as regulatory authority: 40 CFR 745.90(a)(1) & 40 CFR Subpart L, health effects and how to prevent them, lead safe work practices, containment, cleaning & record keeping, tools & personal protective equipment.

Course Completion Material:

Upon successfully completing the full 8 hours of training and passing the course exam, students will receive an EPA recognized renovator course completion certificate and cleaning verification card provided by the EPA. This certificate will allow the individual to perform renovations in any State area.
